Our Vision
We believe that faith is not a once-off moment, but a lifelong journey of discipleship. Our vision is simple and clear: Every member a disciple of Jesus Christ.
For us, discipleship means:
To follow – learning to walk in the footsteps of our Saviour each day.
To grow – being formed through Word and Sacrament, and growing into spiritual maturity.
To serve – using our God-given gifts in the service of the church and the world.
Our Hope
Our 70th-anniversary theme, Ons gaan krone dra vir Christus, expresses both our hope and our eternal perspective. It reminds us that our labour in the Lord is never in vain.
Whether we serve quietly behind the scenes, care for children, build community, or stand for what is right in our streets, we do so for the glory of Christ. We trust the One who strengthens His people and honours faithful service. This hope gives us perseverance and joy.
Our Heart
The Belhar Confession is central to our identity and witness. Born out of the struggle against injustice, it remains a living confession that shapes how we worship, serve, and live together.
We stand firmly on its three pillars:
Unity – the unity of the people of God must be visible and active.
Reconciliation – we are called to be peacemakers, breaking down walls of division.
Justice – God is, in a special way, the God of the destitute, the poor, and the wronged; therefore, we seek to stand where God stands.
